When a walk-in freezers serving catering companies in Kuils River fails, the cost is measured in off-site cold chain and event service windows. REYDS deploys precision thermal engineering to diagnose, repair and recommission your system before the cold chain breaks. This page documents our specialist response to evaporator coil frost on walk-in freezers units across Kuils River and the wider Cape Town metro.
The Fault: Evaporator Coil Frost
Evaporator Coil Frost (FLT-EVP-04) presents as ice build-up, reduced airflow, short cycling. Left unresolved it cascades into stock loss and HACCP non-conformance. Our technicians carry the diagnostic instruments and replacement components to isolate the root cause — not the symptom — on walk-in freezers in Kuils River.
Why Catering Companies in Kuils River Trust REYDS
Catering Companies operations in Kuils River depend on walk-in freezers that run uninterrupted across service peaks. Our response is built around off-site cold chain and event service windows — meaning we arrive with the right components, the right diagnostic kit, and a recommissioning plan that protects off-site cold chain and event service windows.
The Diagnostic Protocol
Each call follows a four-stage protocol: thermal survey of the cabinet and ambient, electrical and pressure diagnostics on the compressor circuit, leak detection across the refrigerant loop, and a recommissioning test against your setpoint. For evaporator coil frost specifically we target the evaporator and defrost cycle first to minimise downtime.
